Businessman Tahirou Sarr has filed his request with the State Judicial Agent, L'Observateur reported in its Thursday, March 13, issue.
Mr. Sarr was summoned on February 28 before the Financial Judicial Pool (PJF) as part of the investigation into suspicious transactions involving 125 billion CFA francs.
To avoid imprisonment, the businessman offered bail totaling more
than 400 billion CFA francs, spread across two separate cases. However, this had no real impact, as he was sent to prison.
Prosecuted in two cases, Tahirou Sarr is accused of fraud involving public funds, criminal conspiracy, and money laundering.
