The Spanish coach faced the media for the Champions League round of 16 second leg and the trip to Liverpool.
Beaten in the first leg at the Parc des Princes (1-0) by Liverpool in the Champions League round of 16 first leg, PSG will have to achieve the feat at Anfield to take out the Reds and qualify for the quarter-finals. Present at the pre-match press conference on Monday, Luis Enrique believes in Paris' chances of qualifying.
"We followed the course of the week as usual. We debriefed Liverpool the next day and then prepared for the match against Rennes. We will have training and then the match this Tuesday against Liverpool. My approach does not change but what is true is that as things stand we are eliminated. We only have one option, to go on the pitch to win but that is what we would have done anyway," declared the PSG coach.
"Our objective is clear, it is to try to be better than the opponent. Especially away. It’s hard to play away from home but you try to control things. It all comes down to football for us, we know what we do well and what we need to improve. Our goal is to have the ball, that’s our base, and from there we’ll see how the game evolves,” Luis Enrique continued.
