The Diamniadio gendarmerie brigade has put an end to the activities of a network of scammers affiliated with QNET, a company controversial for its business practices. The operation follows a complaint filed for the disappearance of an individual allegedly victim of this network.
On March 26, 2025, investigators identified a house in Darou Salam Sant Yallah, where they discovered thirty-eight (38) people, including sixteen (16) Bissau-Guineans and twenty-two (22) Senegalese, including eleven (11) women. These victims allegedly paid sums of up to 2.5 million CFA francs in exchange for training and products that were never delivered.
During the operation, seven (07) members of the network were arrested and taken into custody, while the main instigator managed to escape. He is currently the subject of an intense search.
The investigation continues in order to dismantle the entire network and identify possible accomplices.
