Rebellious Russians have blasted Vladmir Putin for sending “a badly disguised body double” to the Ukraine war’s front line this week.
Putin’s own people were left stunned by the alleged PR Stunt – which saw the supposed leader attend the Kursk region well inside the war zone. During the visit, the ruler – who has long been accused of using body doubles to protect himself – appeared much slimmer in his face and physique. Eagle-eyed users also noticed that the person had normal-sized handwritten notes instead of Putin’s usual large, printed scripts.
And one expert on European affairs also told The Mirror “you never can be sure” if Vlad has actually made an appearance or not, while pointing out this Army-clad version of the President looked “less Botoxed”.
Other Russians also blasted the appearance as “pathetic” and claimed he was the same body double who has been used before. One person said: “Of all the doppelgängers, they picked the most pathetic one.” Another user wrote: “He’s the same [double] who went to hug the residents of the ‘liberated’ cities in Ukraine.”
