Augustin Senghor, President of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), is running for one of the five African seats on the FIFA Council, in the elections organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo. Aged 59, Senghor has led the FSF since 2009 and has contributed to the major successes of Senegalese football, 
including the victory of the Africa Cup in 2022. Already a member of the CAF Executive Committee until 2027 and a former vice-president of CAF, he wishes to bring his experience to strengthen African and world football. Senghor emphasizes that Senegal deserves to sit on the FIFA Council, given its contribution to football.
