With just over a year to go until the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, Senegal is intensifying its preparations to host this historic event, the first of its kind on African soil. This Tuesday, the Minister of Sports, Khady Diène Gaye, brought together the national technical directors of the various sports federations to review the progress of preparations and reaffirm the government's support for Senegalese athletes.
During this strategic meeting, Khady Diène Gaye announced strong measures to ensure optimal care for the athletes. Among these, the mobilization of a budget of one billion CFA francs, exclusively dedicated to the preparation of athletes who will represent Senegal at the 2026 YOG.
